  • Lives and stories are formed by all the ways different worlds intersect. Born in Dallas, raised there and Colorado, his mother from Los Angeles and his father from Fargo, North Dakota the intersection of these different worlds shaped Michael from the start. Conversations growing up revolved around life, politics, movies, art, fashion, and the goings-on of his family. From a young age Michael was fascinated by movies. He would spend hours watching his favorite shows and going to the theater watching everything he could.

Sports were a big part of his world too. He played soccer, baseball, golf, and football and competed on his high school’s snowboard team. The outdoors are a big part of his life.

Michael had career in finance and real estate before stepping into the acting world. One day, a serendipitous text from an old friend led him to work in Kat Edmonson’s music video “Rainy Day Woman.” The joy of that experience set him on a new path. His eyes were opened to a new wolrd. His mind expanded and he actively sought out acting roles, eventually landing his first lead role in Ali Kareem’s short film “RED.” Taking every class he could in Dallas, he soon found Meisner technique and studied under Terry Martin at Water Tower Theater. His passion for theater developed. His first stage role came as Greg in “The Sum of Us.” His curiosity and passion led him to Columbia University’s graduate acting program studying under Ron Van Lieu, James Calleri, and Peter Jay Fernandez.

Whether on screen or stage, Michael is deeply interested in stories that examine complex human relationships. In the little moments and the grand ones, the intersections that make up our lives are formed. It is in all these moments, that Michael’s love for humanity and the art of the storytelling help his artistry take shape in front of the audiences’ eyes.
